Professor J. O. Ayinde

Prof. J. O. Ayinde joined the services of Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development of  Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife as an academic staff after a three years lecturing job at Department of Agricultural Education, Osun State College of Education, Ila – Orangun, Osun State. His research focus is Agricultural Extension, food security, youth studies and community development. He has participated as an expert in research grants funded by Canadian government ((IDRC-DFATD/CIFSRF, Project 106511 and IDRC-DFATD/CIFSRF, Project 107983), External Examiner to numerous Universities within and outside Nigeria and  has won local and international fellowships, travelling grants to attend numerous learned conferences/workshops with more 60 publications in Nigeria, Botswana, Canada, Ghana,  Republic of Benin and South Africa. He belongs to many local and international academic and social associations including Agricultural Extension Society of Nigeria (AESON), Nigerian Rural Sociological Association (NRSA), Secretary General, International Research and Development Network of Children and Youth in Agriculture Programme in Nigeria (CYIAP-network), International Rural Sociological Society (RSS), Association of International Agricultural and Extension Education (AIAEE), Rotary family and Lay Reader in-charge of The Anglican Church, Awolumate,.Diocese of Ife. He has served in various capacity in the University as Chairman, Departmental Examination and Results Coordinating Committee, Vice – Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, elected Congregation Representative in Senate, Faculty Representative in Senate, Vice Chairman, OAU Home Branch Alumni, second term elected member, University Governing Council. He embraces team spirit and enjoys love from family, community, friends, colleagues and students.  Prof. J. O. Ayinde is happily married with children.
