Dr. A. Ajao

Dr. Adewale Ajao is a renowned physician and Healthcare Administrator. He is currently a Principal Medical Officer at the Medical and Health Services of the Obafemi Awolowo University with special interest in Obstetrics and Gynaecology which made him to be popularly known as Oko Oloyun.He holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile ife and a Master in Environmental Control and Management from the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile ife.
Dr Ajao has extensive experience in healthcare management, having served in various capacity to improve the welfare and health care of staff at Obafemi Awolowo University among many others in health sector.
He is also a member of various professional bodies, including Medical and Council of Nigeria, Nigerian Medical Association, International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Board of Fellow of the Institute for Health Insurance and Managed Care of Nigeria. Dr. Ajao is committed to improving healthcare delivery in Nigeria and has advocated for many healthcare reforms and policy changes.
Dr. Adewale Ajao is widely respected for his academic excellence, administrative and political prowess, and commitment to the advancement of Medicine and Medical Education in Nigeria and also service to humanity.
He is one of the internal members of the Obafemi Awolowo University Governing Council representing the Congregation.
