Towson University President, Kim Schatzel, hosts OAU VC, Professor E. Ogunbodede and his team; expresses commitment to OAU-TU partnership. The OAU Vice-Chancellor was hosted on Thursday February 22, 2018 by the Towson University led by the University President, Dr. Kim Schatzel.

The two University leaders explored and discussed extensively areas of collaboration between the two universities, cross faculty engagements and student exchanges. Towson University currently has 25 students from Nigeria running various programs. TU is particularly enthused about the World Bank sponsored Africa Centre of Excellence Project in OAU under the leadership of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor A.S. Bamire and co-lead by Professor. G.A. Aderounmu. In his remark, Professor Ogunbodede reiterated the commitment of his administration to make the partnership a success. A major outcome of the meeting was the possibility of the two Universities hosting a joint IEEE conference in Nigeria, first of its kind in Africa continent.
