The 2019 edition of the University Technology and Science Students’ Alliance (UTSSA) annual conference and exhibition is geared towards igniting the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit in and among Nigerian students for the purpose of problem solving in the fields of health and technology. This conference seeks to help participants spark a strong desire to hop on the technological train of evolving technologies focused on improving human well-being (health).

With participants chosen from different health and technology-affiliated disciplines, the 2019 UTSSA conference will create a unique opportunity to discuss and deliberate on the challenges hampering collaborations between health and technology-affiliated disciplines and how a well-structured plan can be mapped out to serve as a panacea to future collaborations. Asides the symposium, the conference will also allow participants to showcase their innovations in the health and technology space.

The UTSSA conference will offer a distinctive opportunity in rejuvenating not only potential collaborations between health and technology but in restoring Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in general to its rightful position in Nigeria.

The conference is scheduled for Friday, November 22nd, 2019 at the OAU Park, Conference Hall, OAU by 10:00 a.m. The theme is Health and Technology: Towards a Better Medical Diagnosis and Treatment.
