The Vice-Chancellor, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife Professor Eyitope Ogunbodede has expressed happiness with the laudable achievements of the College of Health Sciences’ staff and alumni over the years.
The Federal Government has been called upon to give more premium to the funding of education, most especially, the University education.
A Memorandum of Understanding on staff and students exchange as well as other mutually beneficial relations has been signed between the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and the Elizade University (EU), Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State.

Around the 7th of April, 2018 or thereabout, there was an audio conversation between a man and a lady which was sensationally trending on social media because of its explicit sexual tone. After thorough investigation, it was discovered that the said audio conversation was between a lecturer and a student of our University (OAU) who were later identified to be Professor Richard Akindele and Ms Monica Osagie.

The Governing Council of Obafemi Awolowo University has appointed Mrs. Margaret Idowu OMOSULE as the 12th Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council of the University and Mr. Samson Olayide Ayansina as the new Bursar for the University.
