Theme: Advocating Sustainable Consumer Sciences amidst Global Challenges

Venue: Ajose Lecture Theatre, Faculty of Agriculture, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile – Ife

Date: 7-10 November, 2021

 

Issues on consumer sciences as well as associated disciplines, demand greater attention and necessary actions in this uncertain age. Stability in the family, economy, and professional development are germane for health sustainability and affordable living. Teaching and practices in Consumer Sciences are also experiencing changes over the years.  Studies addressing Sustainable Development Goals as climate action and the environment, food security, inclusive health, and application of artificial intelligence/nanotechnology to Consumer Sciences and family well-being are welcome.

What are the roles of Consumer Sciences in building a stronger future generation and sustaining a better environment? What are the recent developments in Consumer Sciences (teaching, research, and community development)? How are other disciplines advancing the field of Consumer Sciences? Experts in relevant fields will be gathering together to foster innovations and new approaches.

OAU Clocks 60 Years

The Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria clocks 60 years on the 8th of June, 2021. Commemorative events and activities are being planned to celebrate this milestone with the theme: "OAU/Great Ife: 60 years of advancing the frontiers of knowledge and culture."
