New Year, New Hope and New Possibilities

Dear Esteemed Members of the Obafemi Awolowo University Community,

A s we bid farewell to 2023 and embrace the opportunities of 2024, I extend warm greetings to each academic and non-academic staf of our great University, as well as our dedicated students..

The challenges of the past year have only strengthened our collective resolve, and the University Administration is immensely proud of the resilience and commitment displayed by the entire university community. Despite the hurdles, your unwavering dedication to academic excellence and the pursuit of knowledge has been truly inspiring. We have collectively made the year 2023 a remarkable one in the annals of history with many positive landmarks and achievements..

The University Administration’s special appreciation goes to various university committees’ members and individuals who have demonstrated institutional spirit in their duties beyond the usual call of work. These committees include the following:

a. Academic and Research Excellence Celebration Committee for the Excellent Award Ceremony in June 2023;
b. Committee and Individuals Involved in Review of Research Policy;
c. Ceremonial Committee for the 2023 Convocation;
d. Committee for Celebration of Past Principal Officers; and
e. Committee for the Hosting of the West Africa University Games
f. Appointment and Promotion Committee
g. Administrative Staff Committee

As we enter the New Year, let us carry forward the spirit of collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity that defines the Obafemi Awolowo University. Together, we can overcome any obstacles and continue to soar to greater heights.

May the coming year be filled with success, joy, and new achievements for each of you. Let us approach the new year with optimism, determination, and a shared commitment to making our university community even stronger, better, and bigger.
