Application for OAU Students for International Study/Research Exchange to Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna
International study exchanges offer the unique opportunities for long-term visits (6 months max.) between participants holding the status of M.Sc./PhD student at Obafemi Awolowo University (Nigeria). Participants can gain new technical qualifications in an international environment, while improving their language skills. This funding opportunity can also be used to initiate research collaboration, obtain thesis advising and/or supervision, and receive educational training on topics related to data communication, 5G, AI/ML-based zero-touch network management and control. This call takes place under the scope of ” the STAFF and LEARNERS for Teaching/Training and Traineeship activities funded by Key Action KA 171 International Credit Mobility.
What do we offer to the selected candidates?
- Monthly grant (from 3 to 6 months months, 1100€/month) and financial support (up to 800 €) to cover the airplane ticket and other trip arrangements costs. Grant will be paid at the beginning of the study exchange period, once being in PISA.
- Guidance in finding accommodation in mobility destination and support to obtain the documentation needed to apply for a study-exchange visa. However, all these travel-related costs must be covered with the exchange grant that the student will receive.
Requirements to apply for the exchange grant:
For study exchanges (min. 3 months, max 6 months), applicants must prove a min. B1 level of English (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). Paper certificate or oral interview with evaluation committee can be used for this.
How to apply?
- Study and/or research plan. For study exchanges, prepare your study plan using as reference the courses available in the host institution in the Fall semester (March to July 2026).
- Motivation letter. Prepare a motivation letter in English explaining your background and specifying the outcomes that you aim to achieve after your staying in Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Italy. Elaborate your answers for half a page, max. 1 page (about 2000 characters with spaces).
- Personal information and attachments. Submit the study/research plan for the exchange, and motivation letter.
