MOZAMBIQUE HALL, one of the iconic female halls at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, will celebrate 50 years of existence with a week-long Golden Jubilee themed “MOZA@50: Honouring Our Past – Powering Our Future, 1976-2026.”

Established in 1976, Mozambique Hall has produced generations of leaders, professionals, and change-makers across Nigeria and globally. To mark this milestone, the MOZA@50 Reunion Committee has unveiled a bold legacy project: a ₦500 Million Endowment Fund.

The MOZA@50 Endowment will fund:

1. Infrastructure upgrade and maintenance of Mozambique Hall

2. Scholarships and academic support for indigent female students of OAU

3. Health, welfare, and mentorship programmes for current and past residents

4. Long-term sustainability to keep MOZA’s legacy alive for the next 50 years

A Board of Trustees [BOT] comprising distinguished Queens has been inaugurated to ensure transparency, accountability, and effective stewardship of the fund.

Speaking on the project, Dr. Bisi Anyadike, Chair, MOZA@50 Reunion Committee, said: “MOZA@50 is more than a celebration. It is a covenant to secure the future of our Hall and empower the next generation of Mozambiqueens. We invite all Queens, friends of MOZA, alumni, corporate bodies, and the public to join us in building this legacy.”
