The Faculty of Computing Science and Engineering (FCSE), Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, is set to host a capacity-building workshop themed “Enhancing Excellence in Postgraduate Studies: Capacity for Supervision and Support.” The event will take place on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Africa Centre of Excellence, Design Studio, and will be held in hybrid mode to accommodate both physical and virtual participants.

The workshop, hosted by Prof. E. A. Olajubu, Dean of the Faculty, aims to strengthen postgraduate supervision and support systems across departments, fostering a culture of excellence in research and academic mentorship.

• Prof. A. O. Ilesanmi, Provost, Postgraduate College (Holistic workings of the Postgraduate College: coursework, forms processing, seminar expectations, oral examinations, and thesis format)
• Dr. M. O. Awoleye, AISPI (Responsible and ethical use of Artificial Intelligence in academic research)
• Dr. O. Adeagbo, Hezekiah Oluwasanmi Library (Smart research tools, navigating e-resources, boosting visibility on OAUSpace, and mastering Turnitin)

The workshop will feature interactive sessions, discussions, and practical insights designed to enhance the quality of postgraduate supervision and research output within the Faculty and the University at large.
