NIM Southwest Zone to Collaborate with OAU

In a bid to foster stronger collaboration and promote management excellence, the leadership of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) (Chartered), Southwest Zone, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Professor Adebayo Simeon Bamire, as part of the activities marking the 1st Quarter Zonal Meeting of the Institute, hosted by the Ile-Ife Chapter.

The delegation, led by the Chairman of NIM Southwest Zone, Alhaji Ebun Atinuke, FNIM, included top-ranking executives such as Alhaji Olatunde Bello, FNIM (Vice-Chairman, Southwest Zone); Mrs. Elizabeth Akinbile, FNIM (Secretary, Southwest Zone); Dr. Femi Adedokun, MNIM (Treasurer, Southwest Zone), and several other distinguished members from the Osun State Branch and the Ile-Ife Chapter.

Welcoming the delegation, Professor Bamire commended the NIM for its pivotal role in advancing management best practices across various sectors. He acknowledged the Institute’s impact on professional development and reiterated his administration’s commitment to improve partnership with the NIM to enhance institutional efficiency. The Vice-Chancellor also highlighted the University’s dedication to continuous staff training and development, noting that a well-equipped workforce is key to driving OAU’s academic and administrative excellence.

In an encouraging turn, Professor Bamire expressed admiration for the caliber of professionals within the NIM and disclosed his interest, alongside other members of the University Management, in becoming members of the Institute. He also pledged his support for the Institute’s initiatives and, in turn, sought the collaboration of NIM in advancing key University projects.

Responding, Alhaji Atinuke and other NIM executives expressed deep appreciation for Professor Bamire’s unwavering support for management excellence and his openness to collaboration. They assured him of the Institute’s readiness to work closely with the University in areas of mutual interest, particularly in professional development and institutional capacity building.
