The University Advancement Office, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, has hosted a Staff Appreciation and Institutional Awareness Day, spotlighting the indispensable role of its personnel in shaping institutional legacy. The Registrar, Mr. Adetunji Bakare, graced the occasion as Special Guest, while the Ag. Director, Dr. Adeduntan Segun-Olasanmi orchestrated the event, which fused institutional development discourse with symbolic teamwork.Ā
The event commenced with Dr. Segun-Olasanmiās welcome remarks, which framed the day as a ācelebration of minds driving OAUās global ascendancy.ā A highlight emerged during the collaborative design challenge, where staff engineered miniature āAdvancement Towers Complexā from provided materialsāa metaphor for their role in constructing the Universityās future. This session on team project was preceded by an institutional awareness session, where staff were asked questions about the University and earned points.
