OAU Partners in the Inclusive Greening Excellence in African Education and Training Ecosystem (GEAVET) Project to Promote Climate Smart Agriculture

Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Nigeria, proudly joins as a key partner in the GEAVET Project — Inclusive Greening Excellence in the African Education and Training Ecosystem.

The GEAVET Project is an international collaborative initiative co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Programme. It seeks to strengthen the capacity of African Technical and Vocational Educational Institutions to deliver inclusive, green, digital education and training, aligning with global transitions toward sustainability and innovation.

Through this partnership, OAU will contribute its academic and research expertise to promote green skills development, digital innovation, and inclusive excellence in Vocational Education and Training across Africa. The University’s participation reinforces its commitment to advancing sustainable development and building resilient learning systems that empower youth and professionals for the future of work in the green economy.

By working alongside other leading universities, training institutions, and non-governmental organisations across Africa and Europe, OAU aims to foster transformative collaboration, exchange best practices, and integrate sustainability principles into education and training programmes.
