The management of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has proudly commended the participation of Dr. Adeduntan Segun-Olasanmi, Deputy Registrar and Acting Executive Director of the University Advancement Office, in the just concluded AIG Public Leaders Programme (Class of 2024).
The six-month leadership development initiative, organized by the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation in collaboration with the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford, brought together visionary public sector leaders across Africa.
Dr. Segun-Olasanmi’s involvement in this elite cohort underscores her proactive commitment to professional growth and aligns with OAU’s institutional priority of fostering excellence through continuous workforce development. The programme, which emphasized the intersection of innovation, disciplined execution, and transformative leadership, featured renowned facilitators including Professor Emily Jones and Professor Christopher Stone of the University of Oxford. The closing ceremony was graced by Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, former Vice-President of Nigeria, who reiterated the importance of purpose-driven change in public service in his remarks.
Speaking on the behalf of University management, the Registrar, Mr. Kamardeen Adetunji Bakare, applauded Dr. Segun-Olasanmi for exemplifying the institution’s values of intellectual curiosity and leadership. “Dr. Segun-Olasanmi’s dedication to self-improvement and her relentless pursuit of knowledge epitomize the caliber of professionals we are proud to nurture at OAU.
